I remember blueberry picking with Shirley, and flagging down the train by King Kirkland station in order to make our sales. She and I sang O’ Holy Night at Christmastime in the King Kirkland United Church. I am very sorry for your loss.

I have one report card saved from childhood and it is from Mrs. Kirchmayer's class in Dobie. The sun rose and set on our Grade 1 teacher. I wonder if she had any idea how many of her students loved her. I wish I could tell her that I also work with children and I always hope I send them home feeling as happy as Mrs. Kirchmayer did.
