About the Role 
We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and professional Transportation Specialist to join our dedicated funeral home team. In this role, you will play a critical part in serving our community by ensuring the respectful, dignified transportation and care of deceased individuals.

While our primary focus is finding a committed Full-Time candidate, we welcome applicants seeking Part-Time or Casual On-Call work. Casual positions offer flexible scheduling that easily accommodates shift workers, including those on mining rotations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respectfully transport deceased individuals from various locations (residences, care facilities, hospitals, or accident scenes) to the funeral home.
  • Transport deceased individuals to crematoriums, cemeteries, or other facilities.
  • Assist team members with funeral service set-up, logistics, and general operational support.
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness, maintenance logs, and equipment readiness.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Valid Ontario Full G Driver’s License with a clean driver’s abstract.
  • Physical ability to lift, carry, and maneuver up to 200 lbs safely using proper equipment and assistance.
  • Unwavering compassion, emotional maturity, and professional conduct in high-sensitivity environments.
  • Strong communication skills, punctuality, and neat personal presentation.

The Timiskaming Funeral Cooperative is seeking a Licensed Funeral Director (Class 1 or Class 2) to join our Kirkland Lake team. Responsibilities

● Arranges, coordinates and directs funeral ceremonies.

● Meets and surpasses the needs and expectations of the families we serve.

● Supports licensed Funeral Directors in providing funeral services to client families.

● Other duties may be assigned.

● Housekeeping and other maintenance duties may be assigned as needed


Essential Physical Responsibilities

● Ability to tolerate exposure to hazardous substances subject to government requirements.

● Manual dexterity required for clerical tasks

● Ability to travel by standard methods of transportation.

● Must be capable of communicating with co-workers, management, and members of the public.

● Capable of lifting, carrying and transporting weights of up to 250 pounds.

Location: Kirkland Lake, ON / Timiskaming District (In-Person Preferred, Remote Available)

About the Role

We are seeking an empathetic, detail-oriented Transfer Service Sales Representative (TSSR) to assist families in Kirkland Lake and across the Timiskaming District. In this role, you will guide clients through arranging essential transfer, cremation, and burial services with care, clarity, and professionalism.

While our preference is for an in-person team member at our local facility, this role can be fully remote for qualified candidates in Ontario equipped with a quiet workspace, phone, high-speed internet, and comfort with digital administration and e-signatures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Walk families through transfer service options, completing at-need and pre-need contracts in full compliance with provincial regulations.
  • Complete vital statistics forms, death registrations, and service agreements accurately.
  • Utilize digital management tools and e-signature software (e.g., DocuSign) for remote arrangements.
  • Coordinate closely with local transport and operations staff to ensure seamless execution of services.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Valid TSSR License from the Bereavement Authority of Ontario (BAO) in good standing is strictly required.
  • Proven experience in funeral/transfer services, customer support, or administrative sales.
  • Strong active listening skills and compassion when speaking with grieving families.
  • High computer literacy, including proficiency with cloud databases, email, and e-signature platforms.
  • For Remote Applicants: Dedicated home workspace with a reliable computer, phone, and high-speed internet.
