OH Linda my heart breaks for you. I had no idea Peter was so sick let alone this. No words of comfort that i could pass on to you, could ease the pain that you are going through right now. To my dear brother Peter you will be so missed. Your welcoming personality, amazing enthusiasm and big smile. Growing up in our family of 6 children and all the experiences and travels throughout Canada and the states. Lots of fond memories in western Canada and then Ontario. As you grew up and ventured up to northern Ontario where you met your soul mate Linda and started your family with the twins Nicholas and Matthew. I know the Petrie’s came east for visits but I only came to know Peter when the family moved back to Ontario. Peter had welcoming demeanor and a way of making you instantly feel like you belonged. With an infectious smile and laugh, and a heat as big as his personality. He instantly made a friend of Bill, and charmed Kielen. Peter would light up a room when he walked in. Linda & Matt, I do not know how to express my sorrow for your loss. Please remember the times that make you happy and you will find Peter’s light and the comfort that you need. It is with deep sadness for the loss of a very intelligent man…Peter. I had the privilege of working with Peter at Delshen. His intellect and humour will truly be missed. My sincere condolences on the passing of Peter. Reflecting back on all of the years of minor hockey where Peter would work the gate on the defence side - I could always count on him to be in my corner (especially when I coughed up passes in front of our net and felt Sean’s laser eyes on my neck at the bench). We would share a few quick words on what to do different and usually both laugh (who could forget his laugh). Peter will surely be missed, but like Nick, my time shared with them will never be forgotten. Thinking of you both during this difficult time.

I will always cherish the fond memories I had the pleasure working for Peter over 10 years at North Sun Nurseries and then 5 years as Delshen Therapeutics. May he RIP and now be with Nicholas. He truely was an amazing role model throughout the Kirkland Lake area for many years.
