The family announces with great sorrow the passing of Norman Alfred George. Norman passed away in the early hours of Thursday December 11th, 2025 at the Kirkland Lake Blanche River Health Hospital. We all knew him to have a strong work ethic, determination and at times stubborness. He enjoyed sharing stories with family and friends. He had a generous heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand.
Norman was born July 2, 1942 in Kapuskasing Ontario and then later raised in Matachewan Ontario.
Norman is survived by his son John(Joanne), his daughter Diane(late Marcel), daughter Cathy and step-son Robert(Denise). He was pepere to his grandchildren Kyle, Christopher, Jamie, Steven, Albert, Jessica, Samantha,Gabriel and Bradley as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife Suzanne, his parents Alice and John, his sister Doris, and brother Raymond. He is survived by his siblings Dennis(Jeanne), Lorraine(late Richard) and Andrew(Patricia).
Reflecting his wishes, cremation has taken place and a funeral service will be held in the spring of 2026, details to follow.
The family would like to thank the staff that took care of him while in hospice for their care and compassion.
Norman will be missed by many.
