Passed away peacefully at Health Sciences North in Sudbury, with his sisters Brenda and Tabitha by his side.
Michael is predeceased by his father James Blij, his grandmother Elizabeth Gascon, his grandfather Alex Hunter, and his aunts Sue and Yvette.
Michael has left behind his precious children: Ethan, Michael, and Mikalah Blij; his mother Ruth Hunter; his sisters Cheryl (Kirk) Proctor, Brenda (Steve), and Tabitha (Eugene); his nephews; Shawn (Taylor) Noel, Dominic Doupe, Zachary Doupe, AJ Blij and his nieces Shayla Noel, Sky-Anne Doupe, Hailey Noel, and Gemma Blij. Also left behind is his grandmother Geraldine Hunter, along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Michael will always be remembered for his contagious laugh, his bright smile, his witty sense of humour, and his bubbly energy. The love Michael has for his children and his family will live on forever.
