It is with sadness that the family announces the passing of Louise Mackenzie on Friday, December 2, 2022 at Blanche River Health in Kirkland Lake. She was predeceased by her husband Alexander (Sandy) Grant Mackenzie, her son Gary Mackenzie, her grandsons David Mackenzie and Brenton Makenzie and her sisters Donna Stephenson, Sheila Morrow and Janice Bowser. Louise is survived by her son Donald Mackenzie, grandson Sean Mackenzie, granddaughter Christina Mackenzie, sister Eleanor Laity, daughter-in-law Regina Jean Cuza as well as nieces Kim Bowser, Shelly Eade, Debbie Eveline, Bonnie Polmateer and Trish Mackenzie.
Louise had a great love of gardening and nature and loved spending her summers at the cottage. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the home support nurses and Cathy Santia for taking extra good care of Louise in her final weeks and months, making her as comfortable as possible.
In keeping with Louise’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
