Louise Lacroix

Louise Lacroix passed away peacefully on March 6, 2026, at the age of 88, surrounded by her loving family at Sakura House in Woodstock, ON.
Louise was born in Sainte-Germaine, Québec, and moved to Northern Ontario in 1957.
 
Louise was the beloved wife of her late husbands, Albert Lacroix, Jean-Paul Barbarie, and Gaetan Poirier.
 
She was predeceased by her son, Jean Lacroix, grandsons Marc Siebert and Kenny Lacroix, and her nephew Roxy Lacroix. Louise came from a large and loving family of 16 children.
 
A devoted mother, Louise leaves behind her children Jesse (Diane), Marie (Doug), Denise (Brian), Rollande, Paulette, Pauline (Sylvain), and Lise (Éric), and mother-in-law to Patty, along with 18 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren, all of whom she loved dearly. She will be lovingly remembered by many dear friends.
 
Earlier in life, Louise dedicated herself to caring for her children and family. She also spent time picking pinecones and blueberries, and enjoyed cooking and sewing.
 
Louise had a deep love for the outdoors. She enjoyed gardening, playing bingo and cards, and most of all spending time surrounded by her family.
 
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the wonderful nurses and PSWs in Kirkland Lake, as well as the staff at Sakura House, for the compassionate care they provided to Louise.
 
As per her wishes, cremation has taken place. A mass and burial date will be announced with a celebration of life taking place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sakura House in memory of Louise.

Louise Lacroix est décédée paisiblement le 6 mars 2026, à l’âge de 88 ans, entourée de l’amour de sa famille à Sakura House à Woodstock, ON.
Elle est née à Sainte-Germaine, Québec et a déménagé au nord de l'Ontario en 1957.
Elle était l’épouse bien-aimée de ses défunts maris, Albert Lacroix, Jean-Paul Barbarie et Gaetan Poirier.
 
Elle était prédécédée par son fils Jean Lacroix, ses petits-fils Marc Siebert et Kenny Lacroix, ainsi que par son neveu Roxy Lacroix. Louise vient d'une grande famille de 16 enfants.
 
Maman dévouée et aimante, Louise laisse dans le deuil ses enfants Jesse (Diane), Marie (Doug), Denise (Brian), Rollande, Paulette, Pauline (Sylvain) et Lise (Éric), ainsi que sa belle-fille Patty. Elle laisse également 18 petits-enfants et 17 arrière-petits-enfants, qu’elle aimait profondément. Elle restera dans le cœur de nombreux amis.
 
Au début de sa vie, Louise s’est surtout consacrée à prendre soin de ses enfants et de sa famille. Elle a aussi travaillé à la cueillette de cocottes de pin et de bleuets, et aimait cuisiner et faire de la couture.
Louise avait un grand amour pour la nature. Elle aimait le jardinage, jouer au bingo et aux cartes, et surtout passer du temps entourée de sa famille.
 
La famille tient à remercier sincèrement tous ceux qui ont dévoué leurs bons soins et leur compassion envers Louise à Kirkland Lake, ainsi que tout le personnel à Sakura House à Woodstock.
 
Selon les volontés de Louise, l'incinération a eu lieu. La date de la messe et de l'inhumation ainsi qu'une célébration de sa vie aura lieu à une date ultérieure.
 
Au lieu de fleurs, des dons à Sakura House peuvent être faits à la mémoire de Louise.
