It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Edna Rose Ruzick, on Monday, May 18, 2026. She is now reunited with her beloved husband, Martin Ruzick, the love of her life. Their marriage was built on strength, devotion, and togetherness, and we take comfort in knowing they are together once again.
Edna was predeceased by her parents, Sylvain and Anna Renaud; her brothers Edgar and Gerald Renaud and sister Joyce Quinn; and her son, Martin James Ruzick. She leaves behind her loving children, Darrel Ruzick of London, Ontario, and Tracy Ruzick of Kirkland Lake, Ontario. She will also be deeply missed by her cherished grandchildren, Dustin, Jayson, and Jordan, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Throughout her life, Edna had a deep love for animals. She shared her home and heart with many dogs and cats over the years, caring for them with endless affection and compassion. Her love for animals, especially her beloved horse Stormy, was truly unmatched.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the paramedics, nurses, and everyone involved in Edna’s care, especially the staff on the 4th floor of Blanche River Health, for their kindness and compassion during this difficult time.
As per Edna's wishes, cremation has taken place, and inurnment will be held at a later date.
Donations in Edna’s memory may be made to Blanche River Health - Kirkland Lake Site.

Tracy and family,
I’m sorry to hear about your mother’s passing. She was a devoted, lifelong family friend and was especially supportive to my mother in her final years. I never left her house without a sweet treat, most often home baked. She was a talented seamstress, hostess and conversationalist. I will miss her.
