II was very sad to learn of Yvon’s passing. I have many fond memories of him as I worked with him for many years. He was always so easy going and had a great sense of humor. He will be greatly missed. Sincere condolences to his entire family.

Therien Family: Yvon was, as his obituary clearly states: “The Butcher”. I got to know Yvon while working at YIG - Pettenuzzo’s he, as the skilled, dedicated, dependable butcher and I in the Produce Department. Yvon demonstrated his meat cutting professionalism on a daily basis. His selflessness in his work was always highlighted by complete customer satisfaction. Management and his co-workers could count on Yvon for his dedicated team effort. No doubt he will be greatly missed by all who knew him at work as the professional skilled butcher, and by his abundant loving family.

To Yvon's Family and Friends, Saddened to hear of Yvon's passing. He was a great guy who loved his family dearly. He always made time to have a chat and share a story. You will be missed my friend. RIP Yvon

Yvon was a kind and gentle man who treated the customers with respect and preference. He was also a lane way neighbour who respected his neighbours. I’m so very sorry to hear of his passing. Condolences go out to all of Yvon’s family and friends.

I'm in disbelief too learn of Yvon's passing. We've known him for many years as a butcher all the way when he was at the Dominion Store. He was a great person and was always there too listen. And willing too give a helping hand. He was a very skilled butcher and loved what he did for his costumers. Please accept my condolences. 🙏🤍🙏 your in my thoughts and prayers.

We were saddened to hear of his passing Yvon was a great neighbour for years always willing to help in anyway he could and have a chit chat from over the fence in the lane.. I my self will miss our chats speaking in French every time I would bump in to him something I don’t get to do much anymore since my Mom passed many years ago..He was a great guy and a wonderful neighbour may he rest in pease .

We were shocked to learn of Yvon’s passing… He would take time to have a little chat or say hi as we passed through the grocery store,, a few times he would drop over at the house,, have a beer and talk and have some laughs with Andy and I.. Such a good guy at his craft (butchering ) My husband and I had the pleasure of working with him at IGA . It was a fun place to work and a lot of laughs were had. I have fond memories of those days. He was a great conversationalist and was a straight shooter . Condolences to his children Natasha, Leno and Melanie who he loved So much . I was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Yvon. I had the privilege of working with him for 34 years, and throughout all that time I can never recall seeing him in a bad mood. No matter the pressures or stresses of the day, he had a remarkable way of letting it all roll off his back. His calm nature and carefree attitude made a lasting impression on everyone who he worked with. He brought a sense of ease and kindness into the workplace that will not be forgotten. Always willing to help anyone that asked. He was truly respected and appreciated, and that his memory will live on in the many coworkers he had over the years. I will most certainly miss our backroom chats. My thoughts are with all the family during this difficult time.

Like everyone else I was shocked to find out about Ivon today. He was a very calm man but he sure like to talk LOL he had stories that could last forever I'm sure he's up in heaven telling a lot of stories. I remember the day I met you you came into the coffee shop on Government Road and had a coffee and I was working as a short order cook and then you asked me to go over a coffee with you next time. So we did and we became good friends ever since I think that was about at least 40 years ago and we remained friends. He even gave me a few discounts on some hamburger which was very sweet of him. I will miss you especially when I come into the store now and you will always be in my thoughts rest in peace my friend !!! ❤️ to Lino and Melanie and other family members you have my sincere

Yvon worked with my daughter Kim, as a student together up at the old Dominion store many years ago, and he never forgot her, he always would ask me how she was doing. NO other words can be said, that have not been said about Yvon, of how well liked he was. Now just sadness and difficulty to his Family and to his many friends he leaves behind. Yvon was such a sweet and funny guy. When I worked at YIG, he always found time to come and talk. When I was having a bad shift, he could still make me laugh. If I needed help, he was more than happy to do what he could. I will always remember and appreciate him. My heart goes out to his family, and those who loved him.

Lino, Melanie and Yvon’s Family. He loved you all so much. You were the pride of his chats. We counted him as a friend. Kind, Grateful, Funny and very willing to help in every way.
