It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, Matilda “Tillie” Wylie, on April 6, 2026.
Tillie’s warmth, kindness, and unwavering love touched the hearts of all who knew her. She will be remembered for her compassion, gentle spirit, and the joy she brought to family and friends alike. A devoted matriarch, she cherished every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, leaving behind countless treasured memories.
She is survived by her children: Mark (Jill), Rob (Kim), Jody (Shannon), and Susie (Kirk); her stepchildren: Kerrie MacPherson (David), Bonnie MacPherson (Richard), Heather MacPherson, and Jay MacPherson (Tarik); her grandchildren: Kate, Hannah, Braden (Shawna), Carisa (Andrew), Jordan (Katlyn), Tyler (Chelsea), and Sean (Taylor); and her great-grandchildren: Maverick, Victor, Walden, Kaitlyn, Damon, Lily, EJ, Parker, Gemma, and Mia. She also leaves behind her brother John Schaffner (Kelly).
Tillie was predeceased by her husband, Victor Wylie, her long-time companion, John MacPherson who shared many years by her side and was a constant presence in both her life and the lives of her children. She was also predeceased by her brothers and sister, with whom she shared many cherished memories.
The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Wendy Dudley for her devoted love and support.
A graveside ceremony will be held, with a celebration of life to be determined at a later date.In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Humane Society in Kirkland Lake or Timmins, Ontario, or to the charity of your choice, honoring Tillie’s generous and caring spirit.
Matilda “Tillie” Wylie will forever remain in our hearts, a beacon of love, laughter, and family devotion.

She was my mom's and aunts aunt. Me and my sister called her grandma. It was always nice to go visit her. We would always go visiting her and she would have us over aloy. I remember that we would talk about shows on TV from her crt tv. My dad would go and help her with her computer, we would play solitaire with her she like to play that solitaire. She would go visit her friend or husband at the retirement home. She cared about everyone and full of compassion. She had the bird the would bite you and take a chomp. She had a nice yard for birds and bird baths. She had a basement at her house in town. And we would always play on the plano that was down stair. I love you grandma and I will
