Mark Rodgers, age 63, passed away peacefully on April 4, 2026.
He was predeceased by his parents, William and Margaret Rodgers, his best friend, George Snively, and his nephew Daryl Leonard.
Mark leaves behind a loving family who will deeply miss him: his former spouse Lisa Renaud; his children Ryan Rodgers (Kirbi), Andrew Rodgers (Penny), Alexandria Rodgers, and Mark Rodgers (Emma); and his cherished grandchildren Kayleb, Sydni, Liam, William, and Ellieaunna. He is also survived by his sister, Helen Leonard, nephew Dean Leonard, and good friend John Ylijoki.
Mark dedicated his entire career to Ontario Northland where he worked as a welder until his retirement at the age of 55. He took great pride in his work and was known for his strong work ethic and skill.
A loving and dependable man, Mark was always there for his family. He will be remembered for his intelligence, his quiet strength, and his passion for rebuilding trucks—especially his love for Ford vehicles. When he wasn’t in the garage, he could often be found enjoying his second favorite pastime: fishing. Mark also had a deep love for animals, especially his beloved dog, Speedy, who brought him great companionship and joy.
Mark’s final care was entrusted to Timiskaming Funeral Cooperative.
The family would also like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the nurses at Extendicare for the immense care and compassion they showed to Mark, especially Tracy Ellerton, who held a special place in his heart.
Mark’s presence, guidance, and steady support will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
There will be no celebration of life at this time
