In loving memory of Lauraine Helene Chenier-Bellaire who passed away peacefully on August 19, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.
Lauraine was born on June 6, 1963, in Larder Lake, Ontario, to her loving parents, Laurent and Marie-Rose Chenier. She grew up in Larder Lake, alongside her sisters, Marianne and Carmen, where she built a lifetime of cherished memories and friendship. Lauraine’s greatest role in life was being a mother to her three children, Jacob (Sabrina), Amanda (Justin), and Rose-Anne (Nicholas) and an amazing Grandmother to her grandchildren, Reeve and Darcie. Her love for them was at the heart of everything she did. They will always carry the love, lessons, and memories she gave them throughout their lives. Lauraine loved spending time outdoors, whether she was tending to her flower gardens, relaxing by the lake, or sitting around a campfire. Above all, she treasured the time she shared with her family and friends, her husband, Andy Bellaire and her beloved dog Jackson.
Lauraine will be remembered for her caring heart, her strength, her hard working spirit, and the love she shared with those around her. Lauraine spent many years caring for children through her home daycare. She truly took great pride in helping them learn and grow. Her kind heart, patience, and gentle nature made a lasting impact on the many children and families who were fortunate enough to know her. Lauraine’s love, laughter, and caring nature will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She leaves behind a lifetime of beautiful memories that will be cherished by her family and friends. Though she is no longer with us, her love will continue to live on through everyone who carries a piece of her in their hearts.
A Celebration of Life will be held on September 5th at the Kenogami fire hall, 1pm - 4pm. Family and friends are warmly invited to come together to honour Lauraine’s life, share memories, and celebrate the beautiful person, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend she was.
She will be loved, remembered, and missed forever.

I'm so deeply sorry to hear about the passing of your mother, grandmother and wife. My father always called Lauraine "Bebe Lou", and it's a name that I'll never forget. There was only one Bebe Lou, just like there's only one Lauraine. She was clearly someone who was deeply loived and will be remembered by so many.

Over the years, she was my neighbour and we became friends Whenever we ran into each other, she was always smiling and we happily chatted. I would also get an occasional text from her out of blue.
