In memory of

Keith McMillan

1936 - 2026

Keith Forest McMillan passed away peacefully at Extendicare Kirkland Lake on September 27, 2026, at the age of 89.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Irene Merrifield; his parents, Don and Claudia (née Herto) McMillan; and his brothers, Basil, Richard, Melvin, and Arnold.

Keith is lovingly remembered by his sons, Michael (Rose Savarie) and Lee McMillan. He was the proud and cherished grandfather to Nicholas, Michael, Celeste, and Leeann, each of whom brought immense pride and joy to his life.

A true pillar of his community, Keith dedicated decades to serving and enriching the lives of those around him in Kirkland Lake. He was a Past President of both the Encore Club and the Lions Club, a proud Director of Harmony House, and together with his late wife Irene, dedicated many years to running the local Boys and Girls Club. His generosity, dedication to youth, and spirit of fellowship left an enduring legacy on the community he loved so dearly.

To those who were blessed to know and love him, he was simply the greatest man who walked the earth.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Encore Club on Saturday, October 31, 2026, between 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM. Family and friends are invited to gather, share stories, and honor Keith’s remarkable life.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Keith’s honor may be made directly to the Encore Club; the place he loved to be at the most.

I enjoyed my time spent with Keith at the Encore Club in Kirkland. I valued his ability to focus, to enjoy people and provide a sense of stability and caring, quietly. Just one of the people, but important to the general health of those around him. It was a pleasure for me to have enjoyed his presence in the room. Jim Wilson
