Jason "Jaymac" was born Dec.27, 1975 in Kirkland Lake, Ontario to parents Cathy and Miles MacDonald. Jason died March 6th, 2026.
Loving brother of Lisa, Jason was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis at 8 months of age. He never let this get him down and was constantly playing sports and riding his bike.
Jason will forever be remembered by his loving wife Deana of 26 years. His two daughters Cayley (Justin) and Jessica (Kyle). He was the beloved grandfather of Kiya, Asher, Walker and Lincoln whom he loved so much.
Jason was the proud uncle of Kennedy and Karter. He had many cousins, Aunts and Uncles who loved him dearly.
Jason was the son-in-law of Neil and Louise Lloyd who loved him like a son.
Jason was the recipient of a double lung transplant in 2014 and overcame insurmountable odds to get back to living life. He never gave up and gave everything his all.
Jason loved all animals but had a soft spot for TydBit, Numnut, Jasper and Jethro. He was unable to go into Pet Value without coming out with a kitten.
Jason was an avid outdoorsman. He loved hunting, fishing and 4 wheeling. Deep water fishing trips were anxiously awaited for as well as his annual deer camp hunting trip that was the highlight of his year. Hunting with his friends was something he loved.
Jason will be sadly missed by his friends Hubert Gour, Jason Dicaire and Jerry Joseph. They were together through it all even at his side at the very end.
We would like to thank the staff, nurses and doctors at Sudbury Health Sciences for their care and support in the last few weeks of Jason’s life.
As per Jason's wishes cremation has taken place. Donations in his memory can be made to Cystic Fibrosis Canada or Advocates for Northern Animals.
