Germaine Connelly (née Côté) est décédée le 17 novembre 2023 à l'âge de 95 ans.
Germaine était une épouse, une mère, une grand-mère et une arrière-grand-mère aimante et dévouée.
Elle laisse dans le deuil son fils Gary (Jo-Anne Lanigan), ses petits-enfants Alexandra (Kristopher Sass), Shawn (Janie Chaloux), Kevin (Karine Langlois), Vanessa (Raphaël Campagna), ses arrière-petits-enfants Jacob, Samuelle, Liticia, Emrik, Charles, Liam et James, et son frère René Côté (Colombe Lehoux).
Germaine manquera également énormément à de nombreux autres parents et amis.
Au fil des années, Germaine et son défunt et cher époux, Norm, ont participé à d'innombrables activités communautaires et ont toujours pris le temps de redonner à leur communauté, à leur famille et à leurs amis. Aussi, Germaine ne ratait jamais un match de son cher Tricolore.
Grand-maman Germaine était profondément aimée et elle restera affectueusement dans nos mémoires. Nous invitons tous les amis et la famille à célébrer sa vie en partageant un toast à sa mémoire (nous suggérons du vin blanc…avec de la glace).
Un service sera prévu au printemps 2024 à Rouyn-Noranda, Québec, où ses cendres seront inhumées auprès de son cher époux Norm et sa fille bien-aimée Nancy avec qui elle est désormais réunie. Les parents et amis recevront la date et les détails.

Many years have passed since we first met at the KLGC, Germaine with her sis-in-laws, Leona and Reg, LOTS of fond memories of our golf days. Germaine was a Special Lady, I would always send her a BD card every year. I will cherish our friendship and memories forever. RIP, say hi to Norm for me.

Gary, our sincere condolences to you and your family. Aunt Germaine was a great person. We always felt welcomed and had great conversations with her. We will miss her beautiful smile and laughter. We were so saddened and upset to hear the news of Germaine’s passing ! Both she and Norm contributed so much to the community of KL through their generosity, thoughtfulness, and involvement in so many town activities ! Their friendship and support within the town is something we will always remember and cherish. We were so fortunate to have them as friends for a period of time ! We will continue to remember her smile , sense of humour and kindness.
