In memory of

Douglas Bracher

1939 - 2022

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Douglas John Bracher at Extendicare Kirkland Lake, on Wednesday, June 30, 2022 surrounded by his loving family.

Douglas was predeceased by his parents Reginald and Evelyn (née Reid) Bracher, his loving wife (Belle Femme) Pierrette Bracher as well as his 2 brothers (Ron & Harry), and will forever be missed by his children Donna Crema (Ronny Wilson) , Derek Bracher (Sylvane O’Brien); his cherished grandchildren John Patrick Bracher (Jessica), Justin Crema (Lacey Harrison), Carrie-Ann Bracher (Samuel), Caitlin Crema (Mitchell), Sarah Amy Bracher; as well as his precious great grandchildren Jacob, Chloe, Michael, Anthony, Juliette and Grayson.

Douglas is also dearly missed by his sisters Ruth Payne (Mervin) and Joyce Piche (Ken) and sister in laws Mary Bracher, Caryl Ann Bracher, Noella Leblanc and brother-in-law Jean Paul Baribeau. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Doug lived for his family, there is nothing he wouldn't have done for them. He was an avid hockey fan, the Boston Bruins being his all time favorite team. He spent 36 great years working at Kerr Addison in Virginiatown, which he missed dearly after retirement. Doug could always be found with a smile on his face, a tune in his heart and an abundance of love to go around.

Many thanks to Doug's wonderful community care givers at Extendicare, as well as Dr. Estrada and Dr. Kurki from the Blanche River Health Team for their compassionate care.

The family would like to welcome friends at the TIMISKAMING FUNERAL COOPERATIVE (111 Burnside Drive, Kirkland Lake, ON P2N 3L1) on Wednesday, July 6  th  , 2022 from 10:00-10:45 am followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am from the chapel of the funeral home. There will be a luncheon following the service, everyone is welcome.

Donations in Douglas memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Ontario (1-186 Spadina Ave, Toronto, ON M5T 3B2).
