It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Allen Widdifield, age 41, of Kirkland Lake, Ontario. Allen passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer.
He is survived by his mother Marie-Anne Widdifield, his brothers, Darren and Joey, and his godmother Sharon Hetu. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. He is predeceased by his father Gerry Widdifield, his brothers Gerry Jr. and Marcel Widdifield and his godfather Rene Hetu.
Allen will be greatly missed and will forever be in our hearts.
A Celebration of Allen's life will be held on Friday, April 17, 2026 at 2:00 pm at The Legion Branch 87, Kirkland Lake.
The family wishes to thank all who visited Allen during his stay at the hospice. A special thank you to his Aunt Sharon, and his niece Shawna along with her partner Shawn who compassionately supported and took care of him during many nights. The family also wishes to thank the staff of the Kirkland Lake Hospital as well the Hospice Palliative Care Team for their support and compassion.

I am truly so sorry to your family . I love you, I adore u so much. I was supposed to come see u but I couldn’t after my stroke as u know it was hard. Weather and stroke , I was trying to. I will live with not coming to see u for years . I’m so sorry u have no idea. We had just talked as well. U are amazing and this breaks my heart . I can’t even. I’ve been crying since I heard .
