About the Role
We are seeking a warm, compassionate Host / Hostess to join our team on a part-time or casual basis. In this role, you will be a comforting presence for families during difficult times, helping create a welcoming, smooth, and respectful environment during visitations, services, and receptions.
Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet guests, offer guidance, and answer phone inquiries with care and professionalism.
- Prepare and organize visitation rooms, chapels, and reception spaces prior to services.
- Arrange flower displays, make coffee, and manage food and beverage setups for receptions.
- Assist funeral directors and staff with operational logistics on funeral days.
- Perform light general cleaning to maintain a pristine, peaceful facility for visiting families.
Requirements & Qualifications
- High degree of compassion, emotional maturity, and strong interpersonal skills.
- Valid Ontario G2 or Full G Driver’s License with a clean driver’s abstract.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 LBS (flower arrangements, coffee urns, light chairs).
- Bilingualism is strongly preferred.
- Neat, professional personal presentation.
