Educated in Armstrong Township, Earlton, he married Marjorie Field in New Liskeard on September 18, 1947. Mr. Potter began his career as a boy on the homestead farm. He enjoyed running a trap line, beekeeping, gardening and walking in the beauty of God’s creation. As time permitted, he was an avid hunter, fisherman and reader. He loved to sing and play hymns and to speak about his Lord and Saviour. He was a member of the Earlton Gospel Hall. Mr. Potter is survived by his children Joan (Don) Waugh, David (Kim) Potter, Dalton (Joanne) Potter and Cheryl (Mark) Taylor; son-in-law Steve (Lena) Scott; brother Philip (Helen) Potter; sisters Eileen Freeburn and Helen Potter; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; several brothers- and sisters-in-law; and by many nieces and nephews.
