Sorry, that I cannot be with you all to celebrate Aunt Jane’s life. I know how you are feeling as I went through this many years ago when Dad passed away but please remember that she is at peace now. Sincerely, cousin, Kathy.

My dear Jane: We have been friends for nearly forty years, since the day you came to the college to add your name to our student housing list. You had just moved to Kirkland Lake to teach school and had moved around the corner from me in Federal. Since that first cup of coffee we became close friends. Our friendship was solid and enduring. We lead separate lives and did not see each other often but you were there if I needed you, no questions asked, we were there for each other. We shared everything, there were no secrets between us. Though I wish your later years could have been better, you never once complained. I admired you so much for your strength. You were always so happy to see me when I came to visit. I will always remember you. I will always love you. Goodbye my friend. Carol Merhar
