DENNIS, William ` Bill `
The family of William John Dennis, sadly announces the passing of Bill; at the Englehart & District Hospital, on Friday, March 01, 2019 at the age of 72. Born in Graingemouth Scotland December 6, 1946, to the late Mathew and Margaret (Kennedy) Dennis. Bill was pre-deceased by his brother Hugh (Late Bev) and nephew Shawn Dennis. Bill is survived by his loving wife of 41 years Cherry (Bradt), sister Harriett (Late Robert) Borch and brother Rae (Julie). He also leaves behind his nieces Margaret, Shannon, Michelle, and nephews Mathew and Hughey. Bill immigrated to Canada with his family in 1956, residing in Toronto. Bill and his family came north for a vacation in 1975. Falling in love with the beauty of Northern Ontario, and his future wife Cherry Bradt, they remained here. Bill was a kind and caring gentle man, loving all of god`s creatures big and small. He could often be found spinning tall tales in his Irish/Scottish accent, at the local auctions and antique shops. A cowboy at heart, this accomplished farrier`s passion was horses. Growing up in Toronto, Bill worked the race tracks where he soon bought his first horse `Irisa`. He was seldom without a horse to ride, and a faithful dog by his side. Bill worked a variety of jobs throughout his career, including mine assayer for united asbestos in Matachewan and research and developments for Grant waferboard. As per Bill`s wishes of no fuss, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of life and spirit will take place at a later date; where Bill will once again be seen riding off into the sunset.
