So sorry to hear of Ron’s passing. He was a great neighbour and a great friend to my Uncle Doug. The thing I remember about him best was his laugh – it was contagious. Sincere condolences to all of you; he will be missed.

I had not seen Ron for quite a few years but when I saw this obituary and read the beautiful sentiments it brought tears to my eyes for a wonderful soul. I will give a short history of my relationship with Ron. Ron was my first boss. I graduated in June of 1963 from KLCVI and began my first job at North Star Plumbing as the secretary and accounts payable and receivable clerk. Ron was a wonderful person and even though I was very shy and unsure of myself he took me under his wing in a very quiet unassuming manner and made me feel very comfortable in an atmosphere dominated by men. I worked for and with Ron until June of l966 when I married and moved to Sudbury at which time my best friend Doreen Pearce Pilon took over my position. I have seen Ron on and off over the years as my parents Leona and Truman Ackles had a cottage on Round Lake right next door to Ron and Betty and we were able to have conversations when I visited my parents at their cottage. He was a wonderful man and I am certain you are very proud to call him your husband, dad, grandad, Even though many years have passed he made a great impression on my life and I am sure he is looking down from heaven and smiling. Rest in peace Ron,

I was fortunate to have known this sweet, gentle man through my daughter Tracy (Dean’s wife) and he has always behaved like a true gentleman which he was. I am pleased to say that we enjoyed many family gatherings with him where he often displayed his sense of fun. He will be truly missed.

Sending our sincere sympathy to Ron’s family. He was, indeed, a gentleman. His dedication to the Civic Service Association was truly inspiring and we remember how he enjoyed our yearly appreciation parties. We are sure there is a bottle of Crown Royal with his name on it in heaven. RIP, Ron.

Dear family My sincere and deepest sympathy to all who knew our gentle and beloved Uncle Ron. His sense of humour, beguiling smile, and strong and visible support for his family and extended members of his family, will be long remembered. I will never forget his kindness to me. Your hearts are broken, as is mine… Our grief will heal, through the passage of time… I write this for you, not with heavy heart… Our dearest departed would not like that…Molly In dedication…to the Waldron Family… Don’t look for your beloved in winters cold blast, He’s rests in your future, not in your past. He’s out on the briny. He’s up in the trees… As he whispers your name…You’ll feel that slight breeze. That says… Gentle souls I am here, and I’m waiting for you As you glide through the snow or the waters so blue. Memories dear, please love and treasure… Mourn my loss, but not forever. Your family was a big part of our life growing up. Algonquin Avenue where every family seemed to raise us all as we played outside and from time to time got into mischief. It is with great sadness that we hear of your dad’s death. He was the only original dad left on the street. It has struck us very personally. Please know that our thoughts are with you all as you travel the difficult road of accepting a loved one’s passing. Warm thoughts always, Irene, David and June McRae

Deepest condolences to the Waldron family. Ron was one of the kindest people I have ever met. He always made us feel welcome whenever we visited with Dean and Tracy. Take solace that he lived a pretty full and fulfilled life. He was very proud and contented with his family as you all should remember his spirit with pride and great love. A real gent indeed. He will be missed.

Waldron Family……… our deepest sympathy for the loss of a wonderful man. I only got to know him over the past year at KDH & then Extendicare. He kept a close watch on my brother at both places and would give me the updates on how they were doing during our visits. He often chatted about his family whom he was so proud of. He was a very warm, caring gentleman. Our thoughts are with your family. Pat & Lorraine Kiely
