Robert “Bob” Laflair
August 30, 1938 – July 4, 2016It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Robert “Bob” Laflair at the Haileybury Extendicare Nursing Home in his 77th year. Bob Laflair of Swastika, beloved husband of the late Darlene Laflair (nee Armstrong). Loving father of Brian (Jackie) and Darcy (Brenda). He leaves behind two grandsons Brayden & Rylen. Bob is also survived by brother in law Jack Armstrong and sister in law Dawn Laflair. He was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Emma Laflair, step father Ross Foster, brothers Donald, Melvin, Garry, Leslie and sister Sherleen.Bob was quite the outdoorsman, he loved fishing and many people over the years have enjoyed his homemade jigs and spinners. He also loved hunting whether in a group or out with his sons or a close friend. Bob had a knack for crafts, creating many enjoyable wood projects over the years of which many were painted by his wife Darlene. He had many great years working with the MNR through the summers fighting fires for 20+ years, as a volunteer firefighter with the Swastika Fire Hall, working in the MNR warehouse and with the MTO as a plow/sand truck driver where he would make many close friends.Cremation

Deepest condolences Brian and Darcy on the passing of your dad. I had the pleasure of working with your dad and knowing your entire family while growing up in Swas. My husband Bob and I have so many fond memories of chats over a beer at the Swas Hotel or coffee at the Ministry. Good times, great memories. RIP Bobby, you were well loved by many. Val & Bob Gustar
