It is with great sadness that the family of Ralph Peters announces his passing on July 2, 2021, in his 85th year, at the Temiskaming Hospital with his loving wife Alice and daughter Jo-Anne by his side.
Ralph was born in New Liskeard Timiskaming District on August 10, 1935, to Gerald and Millie Peters.
Ralph worked at Wabi Iron and Steel for 40 years and retired in 1998 as a furnace operator.
Ralph and Alice purchased the family’s family farm in 1967, where they continue to live.
Ralph loved to go camping on Friday night’s right after his shift at the Wabi, playing cards, and enjoyed visits from family and friends. His first priority was his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Ralph is predeceased by his parents Gerald and Millie, son Darcy, brothers, Dalton, Calvin, Clarence, Rodney, sisters, Dorothy, Vera, and by his foster brother-in-law.
Ralph is survived by his wife Alice of 59 years, son Martin (Jo-Anne), and daughter Jo-Anne, all of New Liskeard. Ralph loved his grandchildren Katie (Brandon), Gerald (Costel), Kiersten (Dillon), and William and especially his great-grandchildren, Caleb, Ethan, Amelia, and Mason. Also survived by his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and foster brother-in-law and sister -law and many nieces, nephews, and one great uncle and aunt-in-law.
Ralph’s sisters that are left to mourn are Laura, Effie, and Voila.

A Celebration of life will be held at the Hudson Hall on Monday, July 5th at 11 a.m.
