In loving memory of Ralph Ferguson who passed away at the Tri-Town Extendicare in Haileybury on Saturday, February 21, 2009. Ralph was born on May 4, 1925 to the late James and Evlyn (née Swales) Ferguson. He is also predeceased by his daughter Florence, 2 sisters Muriel Viteck and Joan Stanwick as well as his precious granddaughter Carrie Laurin. Ralph leaves to mourn his beloved wife Florence (née Crawford) who was just 1 month short of their 65th wedding Anniversary. Sadly missed by his children Muriel Jean Gregg of Mississauga, Ralph Burton of London, Joanne Marilyn (Roger) Laurin of New Liskeard, Jacqueline Louise (Alvin) Cook of New Liskeard; 9 loving grandchildren and 16 precious great grandchildren. Ralph is also survived by his brother Robert William and his sister Ruth of British Columbia. Ralph faught in the World War II and later was a member of the Legion Br #386 in Matachewan. He also owned Ferguson Prospecting Services for 30 years and was a member of the Matachewan Community since 1939 and later relocated to the Tri Town area and has lived there since. A warm and heartfelt thanks to the staff of Tri Town Extendicare in Haileybury for their kind and gentle ways, care, compassion and true friendship during Ralph’s stay at the home. Graveside service at the Earlton Gospel Hall Cemetery will be held in May of 2009. Date and Time of graveside service will reappear in the Northern News prior to service.
