Jim and I will miss Peter’s quick witted comments and sense of humour. Jim in particular will miss the playful bantering that was their way of being together – a lot of hearty laughs. I was deeply saddened to learn that that my old friend and boss and hunting and shooting companion was deceased. He always had a smile and a good hunting story whenever I came over to see him. I will always be very grateful as he gave me muy big break in life, when he hired me to work for him at Johns Manville. I have nothing but fond memories and good times with my friend. I am proud to say that for a time in my life, Peter was a friend. It was a great privelige of being in his circle of friends, it was an extrordinary experience to have spent time at their home with him and his family. He will be missed by all that were close to him. God Speed, Peter.

I don’t even know what to say, other than this plain sucks. Some of my fondest, most treasured memories include traveling to Kenagmi to go to “the gun shop” to visit the Wilke’s. Peter was like a second grandfather to me. I remember “Bridget Bateau” and apparently I was tied to her at one point to I would stop running off. Peter always had his import beer, and a cigar. I remember him being so, so excited about his Ferret and Iltis when he took me out back to show them. He thought it was so strange that the Iltis had an Audi motor in it. As much as it pained me to see Peter in his state this past November, I am glad my father and I got the privilege to see him one last time and say our last goodbye to a forever friend. I don’t know much about Peter’s early years, I’ve heard they were rough, and I know his latter years were rough as well, however, the years I knew him in – the good years – were fantastic years. One thing I know for a fact is I will NEVER forget how much he meant to me, let alone the memories I have of him. I miss him already. James
