Ottilia “Tilly” Brown,

OTTILIA “TILLY” BROWN,

2021

Mrs. Ottilia “Tilly” Brown
We have lost one whom we have truly loved at the age of 74 years, on July 1, 2015 with her loving sister by her side. She was predeceased by her husband Ralph; son Kenny; her parents Peter Rumleskie, Mary (née Prince); step father Jeff Mercier and brothers Jerome & Lorenzie. Tilly is survived by her daughter Brenda Heim of B.C.; grandchildren Vanessa of B.C. and Ryder of Saskatchewan; sisters Jackie Gilmour (Norm) of Trail B.C. and Angela Pilon of Kirkland Lake; sisters in law Louise Rumleskie of Cambridge, Janet Brown of Timmins, Shirley Lang of Kirkland Lake and Shirley Brown of Kirkland Lake as well as many nephews and nieces. She had a special bond with each one of her nephews & nieces and each hold many special memories in the way she has touched their lives. Tilly befriended everyone she met in her unique humorous way and had a spirit of giving in any way that she could. Family will welcome relatives and friends in the Chapel (2nd Floor) at Teck Pioneer Residence on Thursday, July 9, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 2:00 p.m. with Fr. Mitch Sliwa officiating. Tilly will be laid to rest in the Kirkland Lake Cemetery. Donations in Tilly’s memory may be made to the Teck Pioneer Activity Fund or the Holy Name of Jesus Parish – Furnace Fund.Offer Condolence for the family of Ottilia “Tilly” Brown

My beautiful Aunt Tilly, so loving so caring, so funny. I have so many good memories of times shared: fishing, Christmas, family dinners, and of course the tragedies that also marked your life and ours. You were one of the strongest people I have ever known and I know you are now in a kinder, warmer and more beautiful place, with the family members who went before you; the family you loved and nurtured along your life’s path. I will play Seven Spanish Angles again tonight, one of your favorite songs; another memory so good to remember, you loved that song when it came out and I love hearing it now. It makes me smile with the warm memory of you kneeling on the floor ear pressed to the speaker while the cassette played the song over and over (uncle Ralph had me make the tape for you), he loved your reaction and the pure enjoyment you had listening to the tape. I love you, I will miss you, I am so glad I knew you. Say not in grief that she is no more but say in thankfulness that she was A death is not the extinguishing of a light, but the putting out of the lamp because the dawn has come. Rabindranath Tagore
