BEMBRIDGE, Norman Harold

1934 - 2009

In loving memory of Mr. Norman Harold Bembridge, of Charlton, surrounded by his loving family, passed away peacefully, at the Englehart & District Hospital, on Sunday, August 30, 2009 at the age of 74. Norm was born on October 7, 1934 in Woodpoint, New Brunswick. He left New Brunswick in 1953 to go to London, Ontario where he married Barb Snowdon. Norm worked as a cement contractor by trade in London, Englehart and Charlton. He helped establish the Blue Moose Inn and enjoyed many hunting escapades with family and friends there. He adored his grandchildren and great grandchildren who he teased with every chance he got. Pre-deceased by his parents Harold & Evelyn Bembridge, brothers Merlyn and Boyd and sister Lorraine all of Woodpoint, New Brunswick. He is survived by his loving wife Barb of 56 years, eldest son Danny (Suzanne), grandsons Brad (Allison) and Michael. Middle son Greg (Lois), grandson Christopher (Sherry), great granddaughter Sarah and great grandson Aidan. Grandson Kevin (Amanda), great grand daughters Zoey & Payten, as well as grandson Curtis. Daughter Linda Johnson (Greg), granddaughters Hannah, Priscilla and grandson Josiah, not to mention his four legged pal Annie. The family of the late Mr. Norm Bembridge will receive friends at the McDonald Funeral Home, Englehart, Tuesday, September 1, from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral Service will be held at McDonald Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at 11:00 am. Pastor Peter Ruel officiating. Cremation to follow. In memory contributions to Englehart & District Hospital Fund, Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation or the Heart & Stroke Foundation will be greatly appreciated by the family. The family would like to especially thank doctors Holwell, Blunt and Primrose along with the staff at Englehart and District Hospital for their exceptional care and support.
