RENAUD, Nelson
In loving memory of Mr. Nelson Renaud who passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at the Englehart and District Hospital at the age of 83. Nelson worked as a Crane Operator and was a life time member of the International Union of Operating Engineers. He loved country and bluegrass music and over the years travelled all over Ontario for bluegrass festivals as well as a few trips to Nashville Tennessee. He enjoyed playing his instruments including the guitar, banjo and fiddle. He is predeceased by his wife Joy, his parents Auguste and Ore Renaud, his brothers Rene, Hector, Arthur and sisters Irene and Blanche. He will be sadly missed by his four daughters, Cheryl (Ken) Lawton, Karen (Sonny) Gowlett, Diane (Jim) Schaafsma and Gail Renaud. His grandchildren, Amanda (Jeff) Patterson, Andrew (Lindsay) Lawton, Brandon, Benjamin and Brody Gowlett, Michelle (Jamie) Paranuik, Corey and Kyle Schaafsma, Courtney and Cody Lafferty. His great grandchildren Emily Hill, Kyle and Tyler Patterson, Cadence, Brooklyn and Aubrey Lawton, William and Anna Paranuik. His siblings Florence Lafrance, Armand Renaud and May Lafrance as well as many nieces and nephews. The family of the late Mr. Nelson Renaud will receive friends at the McDonald Funeral Home, Englehart, Monday, May 21, from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at McDonald Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at 10:00 am. Pastor Steven Crosby officiating. In memory contributions to the Englehart & District Hospital Palliative Care Room or a charity of your choice will be greatly appreciated. The family would like to thank Dr. Lacasse as well as the excellent nursing staff at the Englehart and District Hospital.
