Hi Penny & Shelley: My sympathies with the passing of your mom. It had been many years since I saw her however, I remain with many fond memories of times past. I remember Shelley when I last saw you in Liskeard that you did mention her health was not well and that she was fragile.Take care, the two of you. Merline Taillon “Mert”Merline Taillon passed away peacefully at her home with her daughters and sister by her side, after a long battle with C.O.P.D. on September 15 , 2014 at the age of 79 years. Merline was predeceased by her twin brother Olen Totland (2014), husband Bill (1980) and parents Myrtle & Oscar Totland. She will be lovingly remembered by her cherished daughters Shelley Storie of New Liskeard and Penny Grainge of Kirkland Lake and her grandchildren Amy, Eli, Calvin & Zachary. Merline is survived by her sister Christine Acton; her sister-in-law Mariette and nieces Krista, Karen, Marina; nephews Austin and Aaron. Cremation has taken place. Merline will be laid to rest at the Kirkland Lake Cemetery. Donations in Merline’s memory may be made to the Lung Association (401-18 Wynford Dr. Toronto, ON. M3C 0K8), Community Care Access Centre (53 Government Road West, Kirkland Lake, ON., P2N 2E5) or to Timiskaming Hospice Palliative Care (145A Government Road East, Kirkland Lake, ON P2N 3P4).
