Family and friends
Mary Helen came into my life was I was just a kid. She lived in the apartment on top of my grandmas house and she was always so good to our family, always gave us gifts, no matter what the holiday was. I remember I always would ask her to make me cheese sandwich and she would say make your own. She was such a beautiful soul and once I reconnected with her in extendicare after years later we had such a special bond she had nothing but love for my little girl and I will never forget that!
We miss her so much and my condolences to the family she was a wonderful spirited person and she will remain forever in my heart

The Ferguson, O’Connor, Hartling and Halsall families.
Please accept my sincere condolences on the death of Mary Helen. I first met her when I was a child singing in the Kiwanis Music Festival. So nervous was I that I wet my pants and my very embarrassed mother had to go up onto the stage and lead me off by the hand. Mary Helen was there and gave me a hug and thanked me for trying.
Years later we were both in the Community Choir and Mary Helen was very supportive, especially when she learned I was going to pursue a career in Classical Music.
After I retired, I returned to Kirkland Lake. If I met her downtown or at a grocery store I always drove her home. Our conversations were pleasant ones as we caught up on family news and shared laughs. She always asked about you, Mary Ruth.
I like to think that Mary Helen has joined the Angel Choir - you know - the choir that greets us at the Heavenly Gates.
It is time for you to rest now, Mary Helen. May you Rest In Peace in the warmth of Our Creator’s embrace.

So sorry for the Family's loss. First met Mary Helen when I started to work at the Fashion Centre, (1969) she loved nice clothes and always dressed to the nine's. From there she was a good customer at Marselina's, she always loved too browse and was another great customer. In later years it was at Gordon's , where she would come in for her supplies and we still had our special talks together. She was a wonderful person.... I will cherish all our memories as a friend.

So sad to hear of Mary Helen's passing. She was a friend of our Stoodley Family for many of our growing up years in KL. Always such a sweet and kind lady that gave us so many wonderful memories. Whenever we visited KL we would visit and catch up on the news and had many laughs with Mary Helen's stories. Know that she is with those she loved so much. God Bless.
