CLYBURN, Marshall Onslow “Sunny” 1943-2018 – With sadness we announce the passing of Marshall Clyburn at the Kirkland & District Hospital on February 9, 2018 at the age of 74 years. Marshall’s career began at the Kerr Addison Mine in 1959 as a miner. Later moving to surface. There he took on working in the mill, refinery, pipe fitting, assay office, welder and millwright ending with him becoming a 4th Class Engineer. He was mechanically unlighted individual, with his first love being planes but also interested in guns, fishing and hunting. Marshall has a great sense of human and loved to laugh. He went on to working at Sherman Mines Monteith Correctional Facility ending his career at the Kirkland & District Hospital as a Stationery Engineer and working at maintaining services. He is survived by his wife Yadwiga; his two children Roseanne and son Angus Clyburn; four grandchildren Rebecca, Nichol, Zach and Logan; two brothers Danny and Gary Clyburn; mother-in-law (Mrs. Sihorski); brother-in-law John; nephew Justin; niece Jamie Lee Sihorski and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank all the nurses and doctors on the fourth floor for the excellent care that was provided to Marshall during his stay. Also thanks to Community Care Access Centre for the visits and in home care, to the first response team in Larder Lake, attending paramedics and the staff at the funeral home. AquaCremation has taken place and all are welcome to drop by the family home for a time of remembering during the day or evening.
