It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Lorrie Souriol, on October 28th, 2024.
Predeceased by her parents William and Helen (nee Stewart) Nichol, her husband Bobby Souriol, daughters Bobby-Ann and Tammy Lynn Souriol. Left to mourn are her spouse Mick Barett, her son Tyler Davis, her brother Bill Nichol (Cathy Poupore), her grandson Caden Souriol, her great granddaughter Brynn Metzinger-Souriol, her uncle Jim Nichol, aunt Bonnie Borden and her cousins Stewart, Sherry, John, Doug, Brian, Steve, Tanya, Sandy and Barton as well as many nieces and nephews.
Lorrie had a huge heart. She was fiercely loving and loyal when it came to her family. Lorrie loved a good meal surrounded by family and friends. She was well known for her cooking and she loved trying new recipes to feed the family. In her younger years, Lorrie was an avid curler, and every chance she got, she enjoyed her time out at the cottage at Round Lake.
Donations in Lorrie’s memory can be made to the Kirkland Lake Curling Club.
Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at the Timiskaming Funeral Cooperative (111 Burnside Dr, Kirkland Lake) Sunday Dec 8th at 12:00 p.m. All are welcome to come share in the Memory of Lorrie. A Celebration of life will be held directly following the service at the Kirkland Lake Curling Club.
How sad is this to read about Lorrie...Thinking of you all in this very sad and difficult, she joins Mom, Bobby and the Girls now...Will always cherish our curling days together. RIP Lorrie
I was so sad and shocked when I heard or Lori’s passing. She was a great neighbor at the cottage to us always smiling and waving as she drove by, I am so glad she was able to attend my wedding May she RIp
Deepest condolences to all family and friends. It has saddened my heart to heart of such a sad outcome. Not only did she loose her daughters to a young age but now this. Mick my heart goes out to you dearly. God bless her and may she rest in peace. Hugs to you all.
Please accept our most heartfelt condolences on your loss of Lorrie. She and I went all through grade school and in the last few years, worked together at VAC. We are both so very sorry. Thinking of you all as you navigate the days ahead. Rest in peace Lorrie!
I'm so very sorry for your loss. Lorrie was a beautiful soul. I enjoyed our friendship, she always made me laugh. She had the best laugh and lit up a room. I will miss her. Thinking of Lorrie and her loved ones and sending hugs.
I was so saddened to hear Lorrie passed away. I had great memories of working with Lorrie at the Canadian Mental Health in the accounting department. She was such a funny lady and always so kind to me. I send my deepest condolences to the family.
