MCKAY, Leona
It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Leona McKay of Elk Lake, Ontario, at the age of 82. She leaves behind to grieve her loving husband, Glen McKay, daughters Lorraine Cameron (Ron), Diane Decaire (Paul), Judy Cormier (Dan), Shelly Fiset (Peter) and Candace Johnson (Lawrence), siblings Emile Romain, Don Romain (Lillian), Alice Plowe (Del), Eric Romain (Judy), Eddy Romain (Terry), grandchildren Clair, Jason, Jordan, Kristen, Christopher, Jennifer, Alex, Charlie, Davin, Garett and Paeton as well as many great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews and her dog Cuddles. Leona was loved by all who knew her. Her sense of humour was often on display in the form of practical jokes and her laughter will be remembered by all who heard it. She loved to laugh, not only at herself, but at life in general. She always found something good in everything and retained a positive attitude even in the face of life`s challenges. She spent the last half century with the love of her life, her husband Glen, her dogs Dino, Pugs and Cuddles, and family, in Elk Lake where she enjoyed her family, gardening, music, cooking, and most of all, sitting on her patio and relaxing. May she receive the same welcome in heaven that she afforded anyone who entered her home. Thanks to all who attended the Celebration of Life held at the Elk Lake Catholic Church.
