Temiskaming Lodge resident Jean Godden died peacefully at the Temiskaming Hospital on August 14, 2011. She was born in Marter Township on November 10, 1923, to Harry and Maude (Bean) Johnston. Mrs. Godden’s greatest joy was her family. She enjoyed bird watching and flowers and she took great pride in the Latchford Veteran’s Park. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph (Joe) Godden, son-in-law Jan Oukes, sister Ruth McKay and brother Bob Johnston. Mrs. Godden is survived by her children Jim (Louise), Shirley, and Rob (Lynn); sisters Laura Johnston, Gladys Olmstead and Grace Tubman; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be held Wednesday, August 17, at McDonald Funeral Home in Englehart at 2:30 p.m. Reverend Micol Cottrell officiating. Burial is at the Englehart Cemetery.
