WELLS, Inez Iona
Inez Wells of Englehart died at Northview Nursing Home on May 2, 2011, at the age of 85. She had been ill for seven years, most recently with cancer. She was born in Englehart on June 17, 1925, to Myrtle and Evans Bond. She received her education in Englehart and married Eugene Wells there on January 17, 1944. Mrs. Wells was a store owner of Home Hardware and was a manager of Sears. She enjoyed family life, was a member of the United Church Women’s group, loved playing cards and winters in Florida, music and singing. Mrs. Wells was predeceased by her daughter Wendy, grandson Jeffrey Blackburn, and brothers Algar, Alvin and Elton. She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years Eugene; her daughter Cheryl (Bob Blackburn) and son Greg (Joanne). She will also be sadly missed by brothers Malcolm Bond of Englehart, Rod Bond of Barrie and Gerome of Thunder Bay; sister Eileen of Kirkland Lake; grandchildren Bobby, Lisa, Angie, Kevin, Jared, Stacey, Courtney, Brittany and Avery; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Words of Remembrance by granddaughters Lisa and Angie took place at McDonald Funeral Home in Englehart on May 6. Burial to follow. Relatives and friends attending from out of town came from Sudbury and Barrie. In memory contributions to the Englehart Hospital - Clinic Expansion will be greatly appreciated by the family.
