It is with sadness that the family of Helvi Matt announces her passing on Friday, February 9, 2018 at Extendicare at the age of 86 years. Helvi was predeceased by her husband Uno and her daughter Linda Matt as well as her parents Jalmari and Lempi Aho. She is survived by her daughter Helen Matt and her sister Eva Randmaa (late Bob Randmaa); nieces Anita Clarke and Anna Maria Gionet & families. Helvi was born in Finland on June 8, 1931 and immigrated to Canada with her family in 1951. Helvi could be found spending time walking by the beach in Larder Lake during the daytime. She also enjoyed taking part in the Larder Lake seniors club as well as having dinner at local restaurants. The Memorial Service will be at Extendicare Kirkland Lake (Activity Room) at a date to be determined. Helvi will be laid to rest in the Kirkland Lake Cemetery. Thank you to the staff at Extendicare for their many hours of dedication, compassion and love provided to Helvi over the many years.Celebration of Life:
