It is with great sadness that we announce the passing, at the age of 94, of Harvey Wilson, of Englehart, on April 5, 2010 at the Northview Nursing Home in Englehart. Harvey was born January 20, 1916 in Chapman Township and moved to Englehart with his family at the age of 16. He worked various jobs, as a young man, before going to work for the Department of Highways, from where he retired in 1981 at the age of 65. The most important thing in his life was his family. He married the love of his life, Edith Silverhorn, on July 14,1956. They spent the next 46 years together, enjoying life, raising their three children, spending lots of time with their seven grandchildren, traveling, camping, watching hockey games, swim meets, school concerts and attending community events. Harvey was pre-deceased by his wife Edith, his parents Josh and Lila Wilson, his brothers William, Isaac, Lloyd, Enoch, Kenneth, Mark, Lockie; sisters Ann and Hazel. He is survived by 2 daughters, Brenda (John) Litster of Englehart, Gail (Pat) McLaughlin of Inuvik, NWT, son Rick (Cathy) of Englehart, grandchildren, Jessica & David Litster of Englehart, Kali and Joshua Wilson of Englehart, Megan McLaughlin of Fredericton, Hannah & Bailey McLaughlin of Saint John, NB, brother Howard, sisters Terry Hergott, Ina (Daisy) Coutts of Englehart & Erma Robinson of Goderich as well as many nieces, nephews & two very special girls Amy Menard & Holly Vickery. The family of the Late Mr. Harvey Wilson will receive friends at the McDonald Funeral Home, Saturday, April 10, from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home on Sunday April 11, at 2:00 pm. Mr. Steve Wuerch officiating. Spring interment to follow cremation.
