SMITH, Harold William
Peacefully, on July 7, 2010, in his 78th year, in hospital in Englehart, following a heart attack. Long time caretaker, then resident, of Northview Nursing Home. Dearly loved brother of Reg, Marie, Margo and her husband Jim. Cherished uncle of Lori, her husband Bruno Volpe, and their children Rob and Amanda. Will be fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews Gerrilyn, Steven, Paul, Robert, Cindy and Karen. Special friend of Annmarie and Randy Ford. He was a gentle soul, a proud Canadian and a champion fundraiser. Harold was a member of the Charlton-Englehart Lions Club, St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church and the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 104. His smile and tender ways touched the lives of many and he will be missed by all who knew him. The family & friends of the late Mr. Harold Smith will receive friends at McDonald Funeral Home, Englehart, Tuesday, July 13, from 7 - 9pm. A celebration of Harold’s Life will be held at the St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church, Englehart on Wednesday July 14, 2010 at 11:00am. Mr. Stephen Wuerch officiating. Our family wishes to thank the staff at Northview, Randy and Annmarie, and the Englehart Hospital Staff.
