In loving memory of Mr. Hans Erny who passed away at Englehart & District Hospital, on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at the age of 62. Hans worked for BCR British Columbia Railway, helped build the Coquihalla Hi-way, spent 26 years at Canadian Cutting & Coring, was a long time member of Liuna Union & retired from Graff. In retirement he worked at Sherwin-Williams paint as a delivery driver for something to do. He loved the outdoors, wildlife & animals. He was an avid reader of world history, wildlife, automotive industry & Canadian government. He much enjoyed sitting outside having a BBQ. He also enjoyed to listen to the wildlife on the patio with my mom listening to music. His hobbies were fishing, boating, snowmobiling, playing crib & euchre. Loved to cook, ALWAYS had a pot of homemade soup on. He enjoyed driving his side by side thru the trails of Gowganda. Always enjoyed having company over & his home was open to all either it be for a drink or a weekend stay. Li`l peace of humour. Hans could tell you from Atlantic coast to the Pacific coast where a beer store would be along the way. :) Pre-deceased by his wife Carol (Feb. 13, 2017), whom he had been married to for 39 years, his parents Hans & Anna Erny, brother Ardie (Adolph) Chuchla and son-in-law Randy Paul and his beloved dog Grizzly. He is survived by his children Matthew Erny (Sheri), Rachelle Parsons (Mark), Lois Paul, Patricia Montgomery (Dave), Susan Campbell (Scott) & Priscilla Montgomery. He will also be sadly missed by his 10 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 2 nieces and 1 great nephew. In keeping with the family`s wishes, there will be no visitation or service at this time. In memory contributions to the charity of your choice will be greatly appreciated. Condolences, contributions and memorial candles may be left at www.mcdonaldfuneralhome.ca. A special thank you to oncology team Dr, Hahn, Dr. Cindy, RN`s Agnes and Becky and nurses and Dr.`s in Cambridge and Englehart Hospital for the extra specials they provided my father.
