CHOLETTE, Eric
1953 - 2022
Eric Cholette passed away on December 15th, 2022 in his 69th year. Eric hated to be the centre of attention or alot of fuss, to him, the simpler the better. He was predeceased by our parents Edward and Ruth Cholette then by his siblings Victor, Vernon, Yvonne, Linda and Marion. Left to mourn are his sisters Ruth Cholette (of Consecon, ON), Phyllis Cholette (of Kirkland Lake, ON) and many neices and nephews. Tina Cholette held a special place in her Uncle Eric's heart and was very close to him throughout her life. When Eric was born he weighed in at only two pounds. The doctor told our mother he wouldn't make it through the night because he was just too tiny. Our mother said if he was going to die he was doing it at home. So she bundled him up and walked home to the Black Property where for the next few months he lived between our mothers breast and day by day he grew stronger. With the love and stubborness from our mother, Eric grew up to be a real fighting spirit with the reddest of hair and the apple of our mothers eye, he could do no wrong, which was a bone of contention between us growing up, but I loved him anyway. Eric was a man of little words but he had a great heart, and we will all miss him dearly. If Eric were here, he would tell you don't cry for me but have a drink and be merry!
In following with Eric's wishes, there will be no funeral service. Cremation has taken place. There will be a small family gathering this summer in memory of Eric.
