I will not be known to you; however, I want to express my heartfelt condolences to the family about Eleanor’s passing. I am an employee of Northern College, and my position required me to travel to our Kirkland Lake Campus through the years. It was through my interactions with Eleanor in the College’s Cafeteria that I developed my relationship with her; my relationship with Eleanor was very special to me. I was always greeted with a very warm smile and we talked about our mutual friends often. She told me of her wedding and I could instantly see how very happy she was. I will miss her. I will keep her family in my prayers and will think of Eleanor often and always with a smile.

You always brought a smile on even the dimmest days!

Eleanor, you have been apart of mine and my families lives for soooo many years. You were my mother’s greatest friend, and you will be missed dearly. Mom is so happy she got to see you 2 weeks ago for her visit home. Just saying i love you, we all love you and you will be missed but never forgotten! xoxoxoxo

Dear Pat, Eleanor was such an admired woman. She was so honest, so giving, so sincere. You should know how much you were loved as she never missed an opportunity to mention your name. Dear Pat: I was shocked to hear of Eleanor’s sudden passing. She was a wonderful lady and a very hard worker. I used to meet up with her every weekend when decorating the hall up at the college and have great talks with her. You made her life complete when she announced her engagement to you. I had the opportunity to sit with her and her sister inlaw Bev,last summer on her deck and go back in time talking about the days at Girl Guides… I will miss you..

We are so sorry to hear of the loss of Elanor, she will be missed greatly

I am so shocked. Every time I went down to the cafeteria she knew I was looking for a pogo with a side of gravy. She would warn me when they were getting low every time. She was very kind hearted lady and she will deeply missed by many. My condolences go to her family and friends.

I am so sorry to hear of Eleanorâs sudden passing. I have had the pleasure of knowing Eleanor for most of my life growing up living up the hill from her on Pollock Ave., Guides and from her being the Cafeteria Lady from my highschool days and in College. She was a bountiful person with a big heart. She will be missed. My condolences go out to her family.

Our condolences to Eleanor’s family and friends, she was a big part of my guiding in Kirkland Lake and then a part of my daughter’s guiding. She left many memories to both of us and then she served me daily while at college. She was a hard worker and cared. She will be dearly missed.

I met Eleanor thru guiding and she was a special lady. She helped me out, encouraged and supported me more than I could ever say. She will be missed.

Eleanor has been a part of “our family” for over 38 years. She was a very special person and an integral part in helping Donnie and Polly be successful. She was so looking forward to retirement. You will be missed by all who were around you. Pat, you had a great lady and we all feel for you.

I was shocked to hear of Eleanor’s passing. She was a huge part of our family whether working in the store, picking blueberries, walking us unruly kids to swimming lessons, or just being a friend who would listen and guide us. One fond memory I have is the day Eleanor and I were at the Eaton’s Center in Toronto the day it opened. She meant so much to my mother. I remember how excited we were for Eleanor when we heard of her engagement to Pat. The wedding was most touching and beautiful. I will always treasure my memories of her quick sense of humour, and caring nature. We love you, Eleanor!
