Edward Westley Marshall of the Englehart area died November 7, 2018, at Grace Avenue Group Home in South Porcupine at the age of 48. Edward was born March 8, 1970, son of Hilda Rosen Yarkie and Westley Bruce Marshall. Growing up, he helped his dad with bush work and farming. He attended the Gwen School in New Liskeard. He appreciated helping anyone where he could and was always willing to lend a hand when possible. Edward loved country music and singing, farming and machinery. He enjoyed driving country roads, visiting with friends, coffee with his dad, joining in outings with his workers and helping others. Edward was a friendly, kind-hearted soul with many friends he cared about from as far away as Port Loring, Timmins and Germany. He enjoyed reminiscing and sharing memories with his dad over a good coffee. Edward took pleasure in singing and listening to old country music, and liked tapping to the rhythm of his dad`s fiddle, especially when he played Smiley Bates or Johnny Cash. He will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him. His beautiful smile and hearty laugh will live on in our hearts until we meet again. He is survived by his father Westley Marshall, sisters Victoria Plante (Daniel), Phyllis Boileau and Sandra Marshall, and brother Bruce Marshall. He was predeceased by his mother Hilda Marshall, brother Kenneth Marshall, grandparents James and Sadie Marshall and Edward and Mildred Yarkie, and uncles Foster Marshall, James Marshall and Herman Yarkie.
