In loving memory of Mr. Don Hill who passed away at Englehart & District Hospital, Englehart, on Monday, February 04, 2019 at the age of 94. Don was born in Englehart Ontario in October 1924. He enlisted in the Air Force when he was 18 and had his pilot wings and commission in 1943. He was shipped overseas and was part of the Burma campaign fighting the Japanese. He held various roles in the RCAF including being posted to Europe for 5 years with NATO. He finished his career as part of transport command flying all over the world in C130’s (Hercules). He retired in 1971 and returned to his home in Englehart. Many will remember him from the school bus route he ran for 7 years. In the 1970’s he and his wife started traveling to Florida for the winter and finally buying a place there in 1980. He continued spending winters there right up until last year. Don`s big love was traveling and he managed to visit over 130 countries. He is survived by his son Wayne Hill from Alberta. There will be a `Celebration of Life` Visitation on Tuesday March 5, 2019 from 1:00pm - 3:00pm at the McDonald Funeral Home, Englehart.
