In loving memory of Lillian Elizabeth (Betty) Cronmiller (nee Harris) who passed away peacefully on Monday May 6, 2019 surrounded by her family. Loved wife of Fred Cronmiller of North Bay, Ontario. Cherished mother of Norma Hall of North Bay and Keith Bond (Nancy) of Englehart. Predeceased by her parents Llewellyn John Harris and Lauriena Mary Harris (nee Thibert), her beloved husband Edward Bond, her siblings Norman Harris, Alma Millard (Robert), Daniel (Peggy), Dorothy Charbonneau (Gerard) and also Glen Hall and Vince Lawson. Betty is survived by her children Norma and Keith (Nancy), her grandchildren Jason, Tammy, Shayna (Bruce), Angela (Steve) and Michelle (Shane) and her great grandchildren Zachery, Riley, Julia, Andrew, Grace, Camryn, Navi and Naomi. Betty’s kind heart and beautiful smile will be missed by everyone she knew. She leaves behind many extended family members and people she connected with over the years when she lived and worked in Englehart and more recently at her home at the Barclay House in North Bay. Betty was born on January 17, 1928 near Ogema, Saskatchewan and moved to Brethour Township in Northern Ontario where she grew up and went to school. Although her life was quiet and serene Betty remained a tenacious, independent farm girl at heart. Betty always had people dropping by her place for a visit and some of her home baked goodies. Betty loved her home and spent hours there sewing, crafting, knitting, and making it a comfortable, loving space. Betty was the kind neighbour who took you under her wing if you needed anything; a ride to the doctor, a button sewn on, groceries delivered to your door, or a hot meal. Betty was the epitome of warmth and kindness. Think of her when you kiss a baby or bake cookies and share them with a child. Remember her when you do a good deed or a kind favour for someone. Our family would like to thank Marisa Zarifa, Ali Cooper and every one of the caring and wonderful staff at the Barclay House. Betty loved you all and she was so grateful to be able to spend her last days there. Also a very special thank you to Dr. Mike Leckie and Nurse Practitioner Lyndsey Pace for such excellent care. As per her wishes, cremation has taken place. Interment will be at the Englehart Cemetary at a later date this summer.
