LAFFERTY, Betty
In loving memory of Mrs. Betty Lafferty who passed away in Callander, on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at the age of 84. Betty was a councillor of Charlton for many years, then became mayor for a couple of terms. She was a very busy lady with hospital auxiliary and Lioness Lions Clubs. She was an avid quilter and taught many ladies new things. In later years when she retired from teaching she volunteered at the library as she had a love of books and reading. Pre-deceased by her husband William Lafferty, her parents Harold & Ida Hopper. She is survived by her children Jeff Lafferty, Thompson, Manitoba, Kelly Davison and Vicki Roach of Callander, her grandchildren Courtney & Cody Lafferty, Ryan & Trevor Davison and Justin & Jaime Roach. Also survived by her brothers Ken Hopper of Hagersville, Bill Hopper of Ajax and her nieces and nephews. The family of the late Mrs. Betty Lafferty received friends at the McDonald Funeral Home, Englehart, Friday, March 17, from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 pm. The Funeral Service was held at the McDonald Funeral Home on Saturday, Saturday March 18, at 11:00 am. In memory contributions to Canadian Cancer Society will be greatly appreciated.
