LEGAULT, Barbara Rowena (nee Larocque) – The world has lost a strong, courageous, dedicated and loving woman. It is with heavy hearts that the family of Barbara Legault announces her passing on May 8, 2014 (age 71) after a brief battle with cancer. She will be deeply missed by her husband Marcel Carriere, her children; Paul (Janet), Christine, and Sandi Carriere (Mike), step-children; Gail Lapointe (Roche), Steve (Denise), Gary (Pauline), Glen (Diane), Mike (Sandi), Robert (Naz). Barbie will also be sadly missed by her siblings; Victor (Marla), Roger (Debbie), Lorne, Steven (Michelle), Susan Agostino (Philip), and Michael. Also saddened by her passing are her 20 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, the entire extended Legault family, her many friends and members of her church. Barbara was predeceased by her parents Fred and Evelyn Larocque and her first husband Marcel Legault. The family will welcome friends at St. Peter’s Anglican Church (7 Kirkand Street East, Kirkland Lake, ON P2N 1N9) on Friday, May 16, 2014 at 10:00 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Refreshments will follow the service in the Church’s lower hall as well as additional visitation between the hours of 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. & 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Donations in Barbara’s memory may be made to World Vision Canada (1 World Drive, Mississauga, ON L5T 2Y4).
