It is with heartfelt sadness that the family announces the passing of Mrs. Barbara Ann Brohm (née English) in Kirkland Lake on Saturday August 15, 2020 at the age of 74. Barbara fought a long hard battle with pancreatic cancer, but unfortunately succumbed to this illness.She is predeceased by her loving husband Edward Brohm, her parents Bill and Betty English, as well as her younger sister Linda Lou English. Left to mourn is her son Daryl (Lori) Brohm, her four grandchildren Amanda Brohm (Robbie Howe), Brianna Brohm (Justin Hache), Courtney Brohm, and Joey Brohm, her two great-grandchildren Abby and Noah, her siblings Susan (Shawn) Killins, Penny (Donald) Charette, Randy (Dorothy) English, Richard English, Timothy English, and Judy (Butch) Coté. Sadly missed by her best friend Cindy Pullen, as well as many other family and friends.The family wishes to extend sincere thanks to the staff on the 4th floor at the Kirkland and District hospital.A celebration of life will take place at a later date.Donations can be made to the Kirkland and District hospital by cheques to the Kirkland and District Hospital Foundation or by completing the donation form which can be found at: http://www.blancheriverhealth.

So sad to hear of Barb’s passing. Worked many elections with her, always had a smile and a hug. She was such a special lady, even took the time last fall to drop in to say hello to the girls at the local election office. I will miss you my friend.

I met Barb back in 1976 and I don’t believe there was even once since then that we didn’t greet each other with smiles, make each other laugh, then carry on with our day.
