HARKNESS, Audrey
The family of the late Audrey (Kiehna) Harkness, announces with sorrow, the passing of their beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, at Englehart & District Hospital, on Sunday, July 29, 2012 at the age of 93. She fought a courageous battle before passing on to a better place. Born in Brentha, Ontario, she was the youngest of eight children, and the last member of her family to pass on. She was a faithful member of St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church and we thank Stephen Wuerch and Pat Roberts for all their care and compassion. Mom will be dearly missed. Her greatest gift, was loving all of her family without condition and those who were present in her last days will understand, “Do not remove rings from left hand!!†Rest in peace mom. Pre-deceased by her husband Bill. She is survived by 4 children, Marilyn (Doug) Wheeldon, Alex (Sharon) Harkness, Agnes (Mike) Lacharity and Andy (Tammy) Harkness. Loving grandmother of Curtis & Scott Wheeldon, Kim & Kevin Harkness, Luke, Mike and Andy Lacharity, Bonnie Short, Crystal Bragg, Cory Rozell, Lilly Kozak, Steph Baker. Great grandmother to Danyel and Alyssa, Brady & Isabella, Lillymae & Georgia, Jake & Katherine, Kailee, Julia, Brandon & Sierah. The family of the late Mrs. Audrey Harkness will receive friends at the McDonald Funeral Home, Englehart, Tuesday, July 31, from 1 – 1:45 pm. Funeral Service will be held at St. Paul`s Presbyterian Church on Tuesday, July 31, at 2:00 pm. Stephen Wuerch officiating. Interment to follow at the Englehart Cemetery. Special thank-you to staff at Northview Nursing Home for their loving care of mom for the last three years and to the staff of the Englehart & District Hospital for their kindness in the last days of her life.
