It is with heartfelt sorrow and grief that the family announces the passing of Annette Marton (née Ramseyer) on September 21, 2022, at the Northview Nursing Home in Englehart. Annette passed away peacefully after a lengthy and courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease at the age of 86.
Annette was pre-deceased by her parents Ida and Fred Ramseyer, her husband Laszlo Marton in 2008, her sister Edith Masnick (Horace), her late brother Henry Ramseyer (Jacky), her nephew Michael Jensen, her sisters in law Vera Ramseyer and Sheila Ramseyer.
She is survived by her son Leslie Marton, her siblings Marcel Ramseyer, Andre Ramseyer, William Ramseyer (Paulette), Lilly Jensen (Eric), her nieces Lisa Grant and Ruth Carleton, her nephews Mark Jensen, Rick Ramseyer, and Ron Ramseyer.
Annette was born in Timmins on November 14, 1935. She moved to Kirkland Lake with her family when she was very young and spent time in King Kirkland as well before making Kirkland Lake her forever home. She began her working career at SS Kresge store as a waitress serving the miners and everyone who came in. It was here in 1958 that she met the love of her life. She was married in 1960, and they spent 48 years together. She also worked at Trusslers Pro Hardware and A&P food store. After her husband’s death she moved to New Liskeard to be with her family.
She was a loyal, loving, caring mother, wife, aunt and sister and loved by all her family and friends . She also maintained her faith to her creator, Jehovah god, and carried that faith until her passing. She will be missed by all her friends at the kingdom hall.
Mom enjoyed watching hockey, and cheering for the opposite team, just to keep things interesting, never a dull moment on Saturday night. She loved a clean house and cooking a nice meal everyday.
A huge thank you that words can not express go to her sister Lilly that cared for her during the difficult times of covid. The family would like to send a heartfelt thank you, to Dr. Corbeil, all the nurses, PSW’s and medical staff at the Northview Nursing Home. They made her time there as comfortable as possible. Words can not say enough.
In keeping with her wishes, there will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held on September 26, 2022, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in New Liskeard.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society.
